$5 Blanket Ladder - Seriously!

Hey friends! So I had been wanting a blanket ladder for quite some time, and I kept looking for an old ladder to use, but would you believe those things go for like $50 and up? For an old ladder. That probably isn't even safe to use. Just to hang blankets on! I just wasn't willing to pay that, and so I did what any semi-handy girl would do: I made my own.DIY weathered wood blanket ladder - The Learner ObserverNaturally I wanted it to look old, and you can see how I did that over on Hello Yellow. Oh and the $5 part? Yeah. That's real. It was like $3 in 1x2" pine and some stain I already had at home, plus some leftover grey chalk paint. And I got to use the nail gun. I love the nail gun.DIY weathered wood blanket ladder - The Learner ObserverI love that we can hang more than blankets on it, as well. The air plant is something I've also wanted for a while, and it's so easy to take care of! The cream blanket is one my mom made for the boys (to match my own baby blanket that my grandmother made for me!)Oh and the symmetry with the ladder and the metal shelf on the right? Not intentional, but I definitely love it!DIY weathered wood blanket ladderIs it crazy that when I look at pictures like this, I get a little bit sad that we're moving? Also, I haven't even started packing yet. Seriously. We're like 5 weeks out. On that note, I'm going to go grab some cardboard boxes and start tossing random stuff into them to make myself feel better. Send any and all packing tips my way, friends!
