This post could be titled “One of my favourite DIY projects of all time” because it honestly was! Forget the fact that I am in LOVE with how it turned out (even though this was supposed to be just the trial run), I was actually able to make it with things I already had hanging out around the house, like pom pom trim, an old frame and a fork. Yes, I used a fork to make this.
This woven wall hanging is part of my favourite vignette in the whole house. I could stare at it all day! The server, the old frame, the aloe and that sweet little cactus under the cloche that is actually the glass part of a really ugly clock I bought at Value Village… It all makes me happy!
Want more to love? This is totally a craft you can do with kids, so if you’re looking for something to do now that school is out, this is a great project to keep them busy, and you end up with a super on-trend piece of art!
If you want the step-by-step instructions, head over to Hello Yellow and check it out! You can see this little beauty in a few photos inside Hello Sunshine as well. I’m a proud little weaver, I have to say! And I think even Mike Tyson (the fish, of course) likes it!
Have you ever attempted to make your own woven wall hanging before? I’m kind of obsessed now and might just need to go bigger next time!
