DIY Large Wooden Tic Tac Toe
Summer is FINALLY actually here, and that means we're spending a lot more time outdoors using our deck, the fire pit, and even occasionally braving it on the lawn with all of the mosquitoes (seriously, they are ferocious where we live!). Now we can also spend time playing on a wooden tic tac toe board! To celebrate, I created a little game we can enjoy as a family and that the kids already love to play with as well, though they don't get the concept. It's a classic, this one, and I hope they love this version as much as the old school one I adored as a kid using pen and paper!I put together a quick video so you can see how this all started, but first, here is everything I used:
Materials:
- 1 - 4"x4"x96" post
- 1 - 1"x2"x96" pine board
- 1 - 1"x4"x96" pine board
- 1 1/4" brad nails and nail gun
- wood stain or paint
- a rag
- paintbrushes
- 150 grit sandpaper or orbital sander
Cut List:
- 9 – 3 1/2″ blocks from the 4×4
- 2 – 13 7/8″ from the 1×2
- 2 – 12 3/8″ from the 1×2
- 6 – 3 5/8″ from the 1×2
- 1 – 12 3/8″ from 1×4
You can watch a short video about how I made this! And please share the video if you like it!
