One Room Challenge: Laundry Room (Week 4)

Last week I said I needed to make some decisions this week, right? Well decisions have been made!First up: the rug. Remember back in Week 1 when I couldn't decide between the floral rug and the lemon wallpaper? Well, I always had my heart set on the Lovely Lemons wallpaper from Walls Need Love, and when it turned out that the floral rug was wool and would shed bright yellow bits all over the laundry room for several months, I knew my gut instinct was right: LEMONS!So here is my final mood board for what the room will include:We are still going ahead and making the cabinet doors ourselves and painting them with Fusion Mineral Paint. The countertops will also be a DIY project and we're finishing those off with Fusion's Hemp Oil Wood Finish, which I also use for my kitchen island and wood cutting boards because it's completely food safe and free of chemicals! We're getting materials for the doors and 2x6's for the countertops from The Home Depot. I'll have a full tutorial on how we're doing them for you guys!I'm super excited to install our Walls Need Love wallpaper, and I'll be matching the paint colour to the blush in the paper, so that saves me having to buy any more samples of paint! The rug I chose is the Maui Jute rug from Rugs USA. I love the texture and the white totally drew me in, since this room is getting a lot more colour than I'm used to!The Blanco IKON sink is basically the sink of my dreams, and I am SO. EXCITED. to see this in the laundry room! The faucet is the Blanco Culina Mini, and I love that it's both functional and beautiful, and the stainless steel mean less water marks! The laundry sorter and a few other accessories are coming from Wayfair, and I'll be getting some faux florals and that cute face vase from Afloral.I could say the room is coming together, but I don't want to jinx myself! You can catch all of the behind the scenes on Instagram stories - and as always, those come with a dose of toddlers because they're cute. And they're everywhere.
