One Room Challenge: Mudroom & Entry [week 2]
Welp, Fall is officially here and ruining all of my plans! It's been rainy and dreary, and every time we have been able to go outside and work on the porch, the weather is like "nah, not today, guys!" It's almost as if making over an outdoor space in the Fall is a bad idea, or something! Who knew?!?!Things are moving along inside, though. We've managed to repaint the inside of the front door a slightly darker shade of pink, and we switched the door from the garage to the mudroom, then also installed the barn door from the hallway into the mudroom. It was the week of doors! Here's a little peek at what we got through:First, the door that made no sense. It opened into the mudroom before, and now it opens into the garage. And it's not a completely hideous shade of yellow and brown. We also got the hall tree installed (it fits perfectly).Next: the barn door.It may have taken 3 hours to install, but worth every minute!Next, I'll frost the glass and look for a perfect doorknob to go on it. Glass, maybe? For week 3, I'll be focusing on getting trim up and painted around the front door, maybe staining the stairs, finally, and choosing rugs for both spaces. But I can't guarantee any of that will actually happen, because life!Oh, and I also added a little label to the door using my Cricut machine. I'm sort of in love with it!Ok, that's all for this week. Don't forget to check out all of the amazing talent participating in this round over at Calling It Home!
