The Friday 5: Mish Mash
Good day to you all! How was your week? My week has been pretty darn good! Alex has been working away at getting the basement studio finished, and we're hosting church at home at our house this month. What does this mean? A small group of people from our church comes to our house once a week and we eat some delicious snacks, learn a little about God and share a little about what's happening in our lives. Community is a beautiful thing, isn't it?
I will have to share more on this with you all because this is the first time we are entertaining a group larger than 10 in our small house AND with a wild animal sweet puppy (?) living here.
Ok, so this post is a bit of a mish-mash - no theme happening here, you know like you sometimes see in my Friday Five, like a wishlist with a wishbone, or inadvertently using the same quote twice in one post. This has no rhyme or reason, so let's just go with it!
Here are this week's picks:
How sweet is this? Oh and there was no sewing involved, either, which I LOOOOVE because it means I can actually make it! Another Sugar & Cloth creation!
.
I am just in love with this sweet kitchen. All white gets me EVERY time! Honestly though, this entire house is a Pinterest lover's dream! I found this via Apartment Therapy, but you can see Lauren's house on her blog, A Lovely Lark.
.
'The Office' Auditions - I love this. Honestly, I'm not even that much of a fan of the show, but every time I watch it I laugh uncontrollably, so that says something, I guess. I just thought it was kind of cool to imagine the characters in a different way! Found via A Cup of Jo..
Who doesn't love a good hack? And oddly enough, I just pinned the image of the West Elm artwork as a 'hackable' project. Now I know it can be done! The entire series of hacks has been REALLY great. Go see Kristin's awesome project over at Bliss at Home!

The coolest IKEA news EVERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! This wouldn't be a regular Learner Observer post if it didn't include at least one IKEA mention, right? For realies, though... check out this video and look out for the app on August 25th! Thanks Huffington Post for this awesome news..Lauren is taking a break from the Friday 5 this week and recovering from a big event: HAVEN!! For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's a blogging conference for design and DIY bloggers where hundreds of bloggers come together and become BFFs. Want proof? Go read Lauren's post all about it!
Here's hoping your weekend is full of sun, fun, and cold drinks!
