The Friday Five: It's Blog Podium Time!
Hands up if you're sick and tired of seeing the words "Blog Podium" on everything I type this week!!Well guess what? You're in for a LOT more of it because it's TOMORROW!!!!!!! Get your Instagram thumbs ready for lots double tapping, k? This week's Friday 5 is featuring projects from some Blog Podium attendees, just to get us all in a real Blog Podium state of mind. This was a tough week because after connecting with so many fantastic bloggers over Twitter, I had a LOT to pick from! Well let's get to the goods...
Here are this week's picks:
This one comes to us from Christine of Just Bella. Yes, these flowers are actually made from coffee filters and you can see the tutorial right here as proof! Aren't they so beautiful? I think these would be great in a powder room, a guest room, or any room! Not to mention, how wonderful would they be for a baby/bridal shower? Gorge!
.
You guys, this is Julie's LAUNDRY ROOM!!! Isn't it incredible? Oh to have a window with actual sunlight in my laundry room... dreaming! The frame within a frame is magical, and that beautiful white piece was once left to die on the side of the road. Julie brought it back to life! Go see what other amazing things she's up to over at Elliven.
.
In the spirit of prepping for a blogging conference, Brittany from My Daily Randomness has not one, but two posts that we can all benefit from! She wrote about attending a conference a few months back and there's some great advice right there! She also wrote one this week geared towards Blog Podium and put together a killer outfit, too! I attempted to do the same, and in case you feel like you're missing something, there's a "What I'm bringing" list to help you along right here.
.
Let's all go ahead and try our best not to steal Sabrina's adorable and chic business card box, ok? A little paper, a little modge podge, and that's what you get! Get all the details over here and while you're at it, check out all the other pretty things at The Pink Little Notebook! I'm plotting how I'm going to prettify my own little box as I type this...
.
As someone who has no intention of lugging around a heavy laptop, a non-iPad owner, and someone much more comfortable with writing than typing (no, I'm not 200 years old, I just sound like I am), I will be bringing an adorable little notebook with me to scribble down as many notes as possible. Note, however, that unlike the incredible Alex, I did not make my own cover! She made that! With fabric! And of course, she made two, because why stop at one, right? If you think these are as adorable as I do, go see how she made them right here. You'll be amazed at how easy she makes it all look. Oh and if you love crafts and love to laugh, you HAVE to read every other post at Northstory. Have to!
.
Want to see what our girl Lauren from The Thinking Closet has been up to? She's a busy little bee that one, and this week she made some burlap and bookpage pumpkins that you just can't miss. Go on... I know you're dying to see them!
Alright, so this is it. Next time you hear from me I will be a Blog Podium graduate (that's not even a thing) and full of stories to tell. I can't wait. The excitement is definitely real!
*Please note that all images also link directly back to their original posts and remember that if you're going to Pin these, please do so from the original source so that the right blogger gets credit!
Big hugs!
