Weekend Winners ~ 5

weekendHappy Friday!  Yes... Friday... I'm sending out the Weekend Winners early this week!  I know... so unlike me, but what can I say?  I like to try new things! :).clean slate collageCrate & Barrel has just launched a new line of cleaning/organization products called Clean Slate, and I have to say I am already a sucker for some of these (though they are only available at select stores in the U.S. right now).  1. The Casabella Grey Quick Scrub Spray Mop (and potential tongue twister) I love because it's not your typical red or green or other somewhat obnoxious colour - yes, I am aware I like this for its colour, but it's also priced similarly to others like it.  2. This World Map is awesome because it comes framed and on a soft board.  The flags shown underneath come with it!  3. The MAAS Flatware and Metal Polish caught my attention because I badly need to polish up some of our cutlery, but also, it has a french lavender scent.  Nice!  4. This Divided Grey Tote has my name all over it! I have been wanting a new hamper for the master bedroom that we can sort darks and lights in and this looks like it could do the job well - and it's not brown, which seems to be popular in the sorting-laundry-hamper world.  5. The Everything Clips are adorable (they kind of look like miniature clothes hangers to me) and seem practical enough, right...?   6. My favourite is the Polder Grey Ironing Blanket.  For someone who does very little ironing, this is a great solution since I can roll it out onto a table then roll it back up like my unused yoga mat!.pattern-frames-diy-dlfYes please.  This is so happening on the gallery wall in our living room, if I can ever muster up the courage to put up even ONE SINGLE FRAME!  Honestly though, as if anyone needs more reasons to love Design Love Fest, this tutorial from last year has just given me one more!.

Basic CMYKCall me crazy, but these are fantastically adorable... am I right?  When I first saw these beauties on Love Mae's blog, I thought "oh my, these would look darling grouped on a wall in different sizes, or as magnets, or just on top of a present instead of store-bought bows!" And those thoughts were followed by several others... There's so much that can be done with these.  Love Mae is an Australian-based awesome company that I wish was in fact somewhere in the Greater Toronto Area because I would live there.  Their wrapping papers are amazing, and they make fabric wall stickers that are simply to die for - I'm a huge fan of the dress-up doll!  Good news is they ship internationally via their Etsy store.  YAY!

Art of InstructionBotanical Prints.  I am in love... It all started when I found this book (of all places) while browsing through Shop Ruche's site.  The book The Art of Instruction is seemingly very beautiful and educational!  It features images from the 19th and 20th centuries, and I can't help but think how much I would love to have this in my classroom one day - regardless of what grade I ever teach!  It just so happens that Nicole from Making it Lovely has a beautiful print in her living room (as you can see in the top photo).  This week, it would seem, all I want to do is hang things on the walls!

FREAKS AND GEEKS QUOTEThanks, yet again, to Netflix, I have yet another show I have grown insanely fond of - meaning I am officially obsessed and must watch every episode!  That's right... Freaks and Geeks has finally won me over.  I can't help but love the cheesy acting, the High School 'drama' and the 80's... everything!  Plus, Seth Rogen is in it and his character is easily one of my favourites (though he seems to be under appreciated on the show).  If you have not yet seen this show, get on it.  If you like cheesy 80's High School comedies (shot beginning in 1999), that is...

P.S. It was 20 degrees here yesterday.  Cross your fingers this becomes the norm for us Southern Ontarians!  Have a gorgeous weekend!
