Winter Shelf Decorating
Typically I try to make the family room a space I can easily decorate seasonally, and in the Winter it's a bit easier with all of the Christmas things like the obvious tree and stockings, but this year I wanted to make sure our shelves, which are the first thing seen when looking into the room also had a bit of seasonal flair, so today I'm sharing with you my Winter shelf decorating tips with Kitchen Stuff Plus!
This shelf is a mix of old (mainly vintage/thrifted) items and new ones from KSP that I think fit right in!First up: These adorable modern trees that also happen to light up. The Harman Christmas Holiday Homestead 'Linear' LED Christmas Tree have a round wooden base and minimalist design that are so great to mix with just about any kind of decor!
We also mixed in some Harman Christmas Nordic Cottage 'Frosted' Burlap Christmas Trees for more texture, and I love that they're flocked!
Next up: I added a KSP Marble Porcelain Bowl with a mix of the Giftcraft Christmas 'Glass Ball W/Beads Inside' Ornament, the Christmas Tradition Christmas 'Cracked Ice Onion Ball Drop' Ornament and Giftcraft Christmas 'Glass W/Grass Inside' Ornament all mixed inside the bowl for a monochromatic but sparkly touch to the shelves. Next to these, I added a Serene House Ultrasonic 'Cosmos' Essential Oil Diffuser so I can make the whole room smell like Christmas (this is also great for diffusing something to keep those Winter colds at bay!)
A quirky touch to the space was the Sharper Image Cinematic 'Large' LED Letter Box with a fun message! I love that this corner how has some lights and can be seen from anywhere in the room!
This was such a simple way to add some sparkle and other than changing the message on the lightbox, these shelves will stay just as they are until well into January, I'm sure!I also added a few touches of winter to the shelving in our kitchen. Let me show you!
These KSP Classic Glass Canisters are perfect for actual storage (I use them for anything from bath salts to sugar and flour), but I couldn't help myself and had to make these giant "snow globes" with them this year! All I did was put some sugar inside and add a few old ornaments and bottle brush trees I had.
