Sometimes it’s nice to let go of the big picture and focus on the little one.
Like a tiny plant.
Decorated in mini Christmas lights.
Planted in a little thrifted creamer.
You get the idea?
So I made instant plans to plant another tiny plant for Christmas like I did last year with the succulent in a mug.
And then….. and then I saw the mini lights. They were on sale for $1.62. Mine!
So I got home and considered reusing last year’s mug… but the mug was too big for this little tiny plant. So, I brought out this too-small creamer which I rarely even use because of its size. Perfect.
It’s a zebra cactus, by the way. It’s a succulent which is slow-growing and often thought to be a type of aloe. It’s officially a Christmas cactus now. At least in my house!
It’s now sitting by the recliner with some old books and a snow globe. Looking quite festive!
I just can’t get enough of it! For just about $6 (if you count the cost of the thrifted creamer), this would make a sweet gift for a teacher, co-worker, hostess, or anyone who happens to love tiny plants!
Now please cross your fingers that I don’t kill this one too!

Thanks so much, Amy! I definitely linked up! I’ll have to add you to my Link Party page!
Aw, this lil guy is so adorable! And you’ve dressed him up so nicely, I’m starting to wonder if the evergreen tree is on the outs and the zebra-slash-Christmas-cactus is the new hot plant item!
HAHAHAHAHA That would be interesting… especially since these are SUPER slow-growing! But seriously, if that creamer was paint-dipped and I put some some pebbles on top to hide the dirt, this has serious gifting potential!!! Hmmmm… the wheels are turning…
They’re addicting, aren’t they?! Cute, Thalita. I love “little touches” like this. It brings everything together.
I had an inkling you might like this ;)

I thought it was aloe too!!! And it’s definitely a “he”… Not sure why, but it works!! :)
Awww :) He looks so cute next to the owl snowglobe!
Not gonna lie, I do love those two together. :)
