I know… gift cards sometimes feel like a sort of cop-out gift that takes little to no thought, or something that requires minimal effort, but not all gift cards are created the same.

CanadaHelps gift cards can be used for donations to over 85,000 registered Canadian charities.

This doesn’t sound thoughtless or like a cop-out at all!

To make it even easier for you, gift cards can either be printed out or emailed to your recipient.  And I don’t know about you, but if I received one of these this Christmas, I’d feel pretty great.  It sure beats another box of chocolates, because let’s be serious, my hips don’t need any more of those!!

Just for the sake of clarification, I’m not being paid to promote this, nor am I affiliated with CanadaHelps in any way.  I have used the site to donate before, and a fellow blogging friend mentioned the idea of posting about this at a time when we are so inundated with consumerism and endless trips to the mall.  It’s a way to see the bigger picture and give something that gives back.

Merry Christmas!

I think giving a charity gift card is a wonderful gift! I like the CanadaHelps ones because you pick out the amount and the recipient picks out the charity of their choice – it’s a win, win!

Thanks for sharing about CanadaHelps. It really is so easy to get caught up in the push for bigger and better when it comes to Christmas. But I love the idea of donating to a charity in someone’s name. It’s a gift to WAY more than just one person then.

    Merry Christmas, friend! xo

Exactly!!! I couldn’t pass up the chance to share this when another blogger mentioned it.

      Merry Christmas to YOU, dearest!
