Master Bathroom Makeover – Final Reveal

Grey-and-white-master-bathroom-66-scaled.jpg

It's finally here - the day we reveal the final product of this master bathroom makeover! It's been a long time coming, and there were definitely a few hurdles to get through, but we made it! I'm so excited to see what the other One Room Challenge participants came up with this round! If you’ve missed previous weeks, you can check out the one with the before photosthe one with flooringthe one with drywall and shower tile the one with the tub and vanity install, and the one with the countertopI'm not going to fill up the beginning of this post with a bunch of text. I'm gonna get right to it and show you the goods, because I'm so freaking excited, and it's what you're here for!

Vanity and flooring

You may remember that THIS is what the bathroom once looked like:And then we planned on it looking something like this...And got THIS:Let's take a look at Megan's side first, with white accessories, soft and feminine decor, and the same Delta Trinsic Single Handle Wall Mount Lavatory Faucet Trim in stainless steel as the one on Joey's side. All of the fixtures are from Delta's Trinsic line, and their modern shape was a great addition to this space!Moving on to Joey's side, I chose bathroom accessories from the same line (all from Homesense), but in a deep green rather than white. White felt like an obvious choice for the bathroom, but the green was too gorgeous to pass up, and the hue is repeated in the foliage around the room and the rug from Casa Alma in front of the tub. There's also a hint of green in Holly's gorgeous artwork, which I thought looked so charming leaned up on the countertop!

Freestanding tub

The tub was completely transformed, and this beauty from Mirolin just does not disappoint!Above the tub is a piece chosen by Meg of a pineapple, which I love because it has more of the green we introduced into the space, and feels a little unexpected for a bathroom! The tub filler is honest to goodness dreamy, and was such a worthwhile investment in the additional plumbing work - it's gorgeous and the handheld shower means cleaning the tub will be super easy, plus Meg and Joe happen to have a toddler who will (without a doubt) love baths in here! The tub is also where a lot of new accessories live: the gorgeous vintage rug from Casa Alma, the wood and metal stool that would also make a handy place to rest a wine glass, and the basket with extra towels.Let's look at more of the accessories:The baskets, towels, faux plants and mirrors are all from Homesense. It was truly a one-stop-shop for the finishing touches needed to make this bathroom as functional and beautiful as possible! The light fixtures are from Home Depot, and match all the fixtures in a stainless steel finish.

Transforming the shower

Now let's look at the shower transformation! It literally went from a tiny and dark (not to mention leaky) situation to a wide open and bright corner with room for two!The bevelled, large subway tile is classic, and the texture is just oh so lovely! I'm so  glad we chose this traditional element in the bathroom to go with another tried and true classic: marble hexagon tile. To add in some interest and modernize the space, we added a tree stump, which can act as a great for a plant, or to perch a leg for shaving (we know how much Joe loves his smooth, silky legs!).It's hard to see here, but is visible in the video - there are two ceiling mounted shower heads. Yep. Two. And they are big waterfall beauties that, without a doubt, will make this shower feel like it belongs in a 5-star hotel. The full glass surround makes all the difference, as the light from the window comes pouring in to brighten the space up. But don't worry, they still have plenty of privacy thanks to blinds that can be pulled up, not down. Pretty cool, right?A tiled niche with marble to match the floor and shower curb complete the space with the handheld shower next to it. Truly, this is the perfect shower, am I right? So, what's left? Hmmm... How about this little cutie, who snuck upstairs while I was taking photos and hopped up on the toilet! For real, though, that's it for the photos, but there's a solid 5-minute video you can watch to see how everything came together and hear Meg and Joe talk about what they love most! Here are the sources for everything in the bathroom (feel free to message me if I missed something!)Bathroom floor - Home DepotFloor warming kit: Home DepotShower floor - Home DepotShower walls - HomeDepotShower curb: Home DepotWall colour: Home DepotCabinet doors: Eurostyle at Home DepotCabinet handles: Richelieu at Home DepotCountertop: Silestone White Storm via Home DepotSinks: Kohler via Home DepotFaucets: Delta Trinsic, Home DepotMirrors: HomesenseVanity lights: Home DepotBathtub: Mirolin Sable freestanding tubFloor-mounted tub filler: Delta Trinsic, Home DepotMat: Casa AlmaWood side table/stool: HomesenseFaux fern: HomesenseSoy wax candle: Casa AlmaTowel ring: Delta TrinsicRobe hooks: Delta TrinsicToilet paper holder: Delta TrinsicShower heads: Delta Raincan Shower HeadHandheld shower: Delta Wall Mount Hand ShowerTree stump table: Casa Alma/Style In FormBathmat: Homesense
