It’s December, you guys!!!  Are you freaking out?

Christmas is literally around the corner and this is a time of frenzy and angry mall shoppers.  But does it have to be that way?  Heck no!  If you are buying gifts for loved ones, take it easy, consider putting more thought into the gift than dollar bills.

Thoughtfulness also means thinking about yourself – meaning, avoid the malls and crazy parking lots, avoid the 30-minute checkout lines with screaming children and angry customers, and avoid stressing yourself out.  Instead, opt for a great option like Etsy where you can shop handmade AND you can do it while sipping a peppermint hot chocolate, watching Love, Actually with your fuzzy slippers on from the comfort of your couch!

So, in order to allow that to happen for you, I’m putting together some gift guides for you this week.  Starting with the foodie!

In case you’re wondering about the Spanish artwork, the saying means “A full stomach makes a happy heart.”  Isn’t that the truth?  If you want a few more ideas for gifts to give to your foodie friends, you can see my extended Etsy Foodie Gift Guide.  I’ll be adding to this frequently so you will always have a little inspiration!

Ok, so now are you ready for THE best part of this post?  I’m sure you’re wondering about the title of the post, and yes… I am serious about the $200 giveaway!

Oh yes… I will avoid the malls. I hate them, year round, but especially now before christmas. I will definitely buy some presents online on etsy (or the German version of it) and I’m gonna make the remaining myself. Or give money – I know, it’s boring, but my parents want an apple-tree from us kids and it’s just not the time to buy and plant trees……

(And the give.away is open worldwide? Yay! \o/)

    Have an awesome week!
    Love, Midsommarflicka

Yes, we can shop on the “normal” Etsy, where there are German sellers and international who send to Germany and then there’s also Dawanda – a platform similar to Etsy, but founded in Germany and there are probably only German sellers… :)

Etsy is such a wonderful resource, especially for finding unique gifts (or treats for yourself). If I won, I’d be shopping Etsy, either for myself or gifts (or both), and support some extremely talented independent artists.
