Day 3 of Scarf Week is upon us! And I’m back with another no-sew tutorial for you. I have a feeling I will be using this tutorial myself for quite some time because the possibilities are kind of endless, and when it comes to accessorizing, more options are always better, right? How about scarf sandals?
So I know I told you that the scarf bracelet was the easiest thing ever to make? Well then this must be the second! All you need are 3 things:
First, you’ll need to cut your scarf in half lengthwise so you get two big, long strips.
Now as for how to make this, well get ready for a picture tutorial because explaining this in words would take FOR-E-VER!
Tie those bad boys up around your ankles in whatever way you find to be most comfortable. I tied mine around the back of my ankles first, back around the front and tied a little bow on the side.
Oh and I found a way to put them away without the scarf getting all tangled up in itself. Check it out – just tie loose knot on each sandal strap, and you’re done!
So easy, so simple, so cute! I know… now you want some scarf sandals of your own.

These are SO PRETTY! I love them so much. I think I’d feel like a fairy princess or something in them :)
HAHA I love that you said you’d feel like a fairy princess! I definitely felt very pretty in these, I can’t lie. I think it’s the softness of it all and the little bow.
I agree that feet are weird, but you actually have pretty normal looking feet at least!! Love the scarf projects- I would never be this creative!
Ha! Thanks for saying I have normal looking feet! I don’t think I do, but thanks you anyway. It was a challenge to come up with things I coul actually make (because I’m not that crafty) and that would actually be pretty, but it was a good challenge :)
OMG that is soooo cute.
HAHA Thanks mama! :)
I hate feet, too! My problem is compounded because I have to wear orthopedic inlays, which doesn’t work in open-toed shoes, so I’m kind of angry at my feet?! haha people with weird dislikes, unite! ;)
SO glad someone else gets my feet issues! I get the foot anger too – I had foot issues as a kid so I was limited to what I could wear also! It was SO hard to take these pictures of my feet. I thought they all looked so weird! (still do!)
You are so clever, my friend!! I never would’ve thought to do something like this with a scarf! I have a pair of flip flops in need of rescuing (because a certain pup chewed through nearly all of the thong part) but I haven’t been sure what to do with them. This. This is what I should do with them! Thanks for the inspiration :)
It’s so funny that you say that because that was the very case with these ones! One of the straps was basically hanging by a thread, thanks to Mr. Luther! It’s an easy project and I have no doubts you won’t regret it!
Yes, the sandals look great and everything … but I just FELL IN LOVE WITH YOUR SCISSORS! I need some like these!! (Excuse me.)
;)
hahahahaha I love that! If I ever see them again, I will get you a pair!!
I hope so! ;)
