High/Low: Black and White Boho Patio Design

annette-nordstrom-patio-inspiration.jpg

We're back again with another High/Low feature, and this time the ladies and I tackled patio designs (mine being a boho patio), and I dare say they look pretty darn good! Being that it seems like Summer has finally arrived here in Southern Ontario, I officially want to rip out our porch and deck and sunroom and start fresh with all these pretty things, but that's VERY unlikely with two wild toddlers. However, if you're ready to do something like this, we're full of good ideas to help you spend all your money or keep it budget friendly.Check out Laurie at VinYet Etc and Andrea at Harlow & Thistle for two other patio designs. You can also see past High/Low designs - we recreated a living space last month! In the meantime, here's my inspiration image for the space I recreated:

Isn't it just dreamy? Of course I love all of the black and white and natural fibres mixed together. Here are the two mood boards I created inspired but this space:And if you like to play guessing games as much as I do (only when it comes to home decor, though), here are the two boards side by side.Which do you think cost more?Alright, here are your results.I know, I know. You can hardly contain your excitement. That's a $3,419 difference. For the sake of actually decorating the space, I included two of each of the lanterns, two of each pillow, three hats, two chairs and three sets of the string lights. That way this is a realistic total for what it would cost to recreate most of the space, not including pots and plants. Here are the sources for both budgets:HIGH: String of lights: $36 each (3 sets included in total budget)Hat: $72 (3 included in total budget)Sectional set: $2,058Rug: $92Striped pillow: $65 (two included in total budget)Black arrow pillow: $149 (two included in total budget)White printed pillow: $149 (two included in total budget)Small lantern: $188 (two included in total budget)Large lantern: $96 (two included in total budget)Lidded basket: $106Jute basket: $113Set of 3 lidded boxes: $153White metal chair: $330 (two included in total budget)
