31 Days of Serving My Husband by Ashley Urke

Ashley Urke doesn't need much introduction on this blog.  I've shared some of her beautiful work with you before (here and here), and she's truly a masterful home decorator and vivid writer and you can see more for yourself over at Domestic Fashionista.  Hers is one of the first blogs I ever started reading, and I remember thinking: "I want to be like her!"  What I want to share with you today is Ashley's heart, which is SO big she wrote a book about servitude to her husband.

Serving My Husband Banner FinalThis book is based on Ashley's 31 Day Series from last year, and even if you have already read it (like me), there is so much you can take away from the book over and over again.  Servitude is a tricky word with people, and Ashley touches on that with her typical delicate manner, explaining that servitude has many faces.  Servitude is also part of what we're called to do as neighbours, daughters, wives and people, and Ashley erases all misconceptions that come with the word "serve," especially within a marriage.

Here's the thing about this book: whether you're newly married or a marriage veteran, you can take something away from it, and all it will take is you giving it a try for 31 days.  Can you give a month to making your marriage better? More filled with love? Gratitude? Honesty? Communication?

Truthfully, I have learned so much from Ashley's candidness on difficult topics like finances and intimacy.  I enjoyed her book SO much because of how honest, real, and applicable it is.  This book is a beautiful testimony of what God can do when you put Him at the center of your marriage.

Serving My Husband Cover_edited-2Have I said enough about how much I love it?  Ok so now you go on and get your own copy of 31 Days of Serving My Husband (The Devotional), which is available as an e-book or as a hard copy on Amazon.  This book will definitely make a great gift to yourself or a dear friend.  I know I'll be reading my copy again and again!

xo, friends!
