Front Entry & Hallway Makeover – Week 2

In typical One Room Challenge fashion, I have basically done nothing this week to get ahead of actually finishing the spaces, but week 3 is the week, I swear it! Famous last words...I do have a little something to share with you this week, however, and that is the plan for these spaces. And if you missed last week, you can see the before photos of the entry and see why I'm making this space over.

Choosing furniture and accessories

I'm thrilled to be partnering with Style In Form again for this One Room Challenge as we did for the shared toddler bedroom. For the entry, I'll be adding the full-length Bohemian Sydney Mirror, the Nepal Bench in taupe, and several accessories like the Seagrass Open Baskets, Eden Bamboo and Metal Baskets, and two Freedom Cushions.

Unique front entry lighting

Also changing in this space is the lighting. Truthfully, I'm choosing some pieces that are a little outside of the norm I have stuck to in the past, and I am absolutely elated about it because these fixtures are to die for, you guys!Sazerac Stitches was kind enough to also partner with me on this makeover, and their pieces are just so special! Take the Zodiac, for example, which will be going on the ceiling. The asymmetry, the gold, and the uniqueness of it... I am beyond excited to see this go up!The walls are getting painted, because honestly, white walls down a corridor with two toddlers is like me basically begging them for fingerprints on the walls! So Farrow & Ball is coming in and I'll be doing a paint dipped look with a soft grey that I haven't chosen yet, but stay tuned on Instagram because I'll be polling you there to hep me pick!

Waterproof rug

Also coming into the space is a new rug, because let's face it - the $5 score currently there is looking mighty sad, and I'm just tired of the colours, ANNNNNND it's awful to keep clean. I'm going to be adding in a super unique rug from Adama Alma, whose pieces Ive been coveting for quite some time! This is what the full mood board will look like. I'm also planning on adding peg hooks on two walls, with one being lower for the kids to be able to hang up their own jackets.Next week I'll share the paint colour I've chosen as well as what's happening upstairs and on the stairs, as they're finally (after 2.5 years) going to get finished!Until then!
