It's likely that there are about 300 other One Room Challenge reveal blog posts that start with some version of "I can't believe it's finally done!" but seriously, you guys, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S DONE!You can see the plans for this shared toddler room, check out the progress on the wall panels, and see the beds in more detail. Here's a quick before and after, then I'll break down everything that's in the room for you!

The Wall Treatment

I have had lots and lots of questions/comments about this. Yes, I did it myself. You can see part of the progress of the trim work in past One Room Challenge posts. I probably never ever want to do something like this myself again, because it requires SO MUCH measuring and perfectly sized cuts, which I am just not good at! BUUUUUT, I'm so so so happy I challenged myself and did it anyway. That means you can do it too. Yes, really! You can!The square trim work on the walls was done using Metrie's 3 1/2" MDF Flat Stock. I designed the whole thing and did all the Math myself, so basically I can go work for NASA now. The wood ledge is unfinished 3 1/2" Oak Flat Stock that goes around almost the entire room - we just left it out on the wall with the window. Speaking of window, we used Very Square Scene II 4 1/2" MDF Casing around it, and I LOVE it so much. It's the perfect size and shape for this room!

Kid's Storage

A very key part of any kid's room is storage. They just seem to have so much stuff, don't they? I made sure to give each of the boys a storage bench that they will be able to fill with things we want to keep out of sight, and I may just keep extra bed sheets and blankets in there as well! These Drake Large Decorative Storage Benches from HomePop in black plaid are the perfect mix of function and beauty, and you guys know I love me some buffalo plaid!

The Kids' Furniture

Let's take a look at what the furniture looked like in here (and I still love all of these pieces, but obviously the boys outgrew them). The two dressers have been replaced with one, and boy, is it a good one! The Herringbone dresser from Style in Form is no longer available, sadly, but you can check out their bedroom furniture here, including a dresser that matches the bedside table we used!I've talked about the beds before, but let's talk about these again, please, because they are worth mentioning. I chose the Julia bed for the boys because it's classic, easy to clean, and I was able to put them together by myself. They're also incredibly sturdy! The Hara 3-drawer dresser was the perfect piece to have between the beds, and is the perfect size, too! The 3 shallow drawers means we can keep things like books, small toys and whatever other small bits and bobs we need for the kids here. Have I said that I'm obsessed with the drawer pulls? Because I'm obsessed. There are a few golden details in the space (like in the sconces hardware on the dresser and closet door), and I love that I was able to use this grown up metal in here.

Kids Textiles

It's always a little frightening picking out textiles for kids because of fear of the unknown. Will they have any "accidents" on these? How washable is it, really? Is this going to cost me a fortune and then my kids will ruin it?Well, I can't help anyone on the accidents front (myself included), but I think I managed to find things that are totally easy to clean and aren't expensive! The curtains were an Amazon find, and they're blackout drapes, measuring 52x95" - the perfect size for our 60" window. The bedding is a mixture of these super soft sheets from Wayfair and this duvet cover set from Amazon. Now let's talk about the stuff on the bed you don't see... I ended up doing some research, and it paid off! I got some pillows that are super soft and won't be too high for the kids, and the duvet itself is a lightweight down alternative duvet that we really do love! It even has corner loops for attaching the duvet cover. We also have waterproof mattress protectors, even though our Leesa mattresses comes with one that can zip off as well.Right next to the beds we also have the Peek pouf from Style In Form, which I've sprayed with Scotchguard just in case anything does happen, and the rug from Casa Alma which is actually super easy to spot clean!

Wall Colour and Wallpaper

The things that really started it all for me and were major starting points in the design of this space were a deep green that I knew would be on the trim work and then seeing this incredible Farrow & Ball wallpaper. From there, everything else came together and I made sure to pull those colours into other things like the artwork and textiles. I couldn't be happier with how the colours turned out, and I'm SO GLAD I stuck to my original instinct to go with the super moody and dark Studio Green on the walls! As is the case with EVERY One Room Challenge, it's been a whirlwind, but completely worth it! The timing for this project was insane with Marquis away for a few weeks in there and me solo parenting, getting sick, and being crazy busy with other work stuff, but we made it work and I couldn't be happier!
