One Room Challenge Fall 2019 - Week 4
Let me start this off by saying I am in COMPLETE shock that this is week 4. Just one more blog post with updates then it's on to the reveal. How is this even possible?Things have been coming along slowly. Very slowly. We've run into major delays getting product across the border and it's actually terrifying how much work we have to get done in two weeks, but my husband being the good good man that he is, continues to reassure me that it WILL get done! He never lies, so I totally believe him.If you want to see all of the before photos and our plans for this space, check out all of the previous posts:
This week we worked on a few small things for the bedroom since the bathroom is on hold - those things held at the border? They're our tile, plumbing parts and vanity. Insert crying emoji here!Something that arrived this week was our new roman blinds for both windows. I ordered these from Fabricut, and I am so incredibly pleased with them! The fabric is called 'Fawn' in linen by Vern Yip, and rather than ordering fabric and having these made, I ordered them directly from Fabricut - they offer finished products like drapery, roman blinds, cornices and valances. You just pick the fabric, send measurements, and voila! Our original faux romans from Ikea just weren't cutting it!I'm quite in love with these new romans of ours! The other small update is the knobs and pulls on our nightstands. The bronze ones that came with them were feeling a little too rustic and dated, and that was definitely not the look or vibe we wanted in this space so I majorly upgraded with some gorgeous new Shaub hardware! The knobs are Schaub City Lights, Globe Glass Knob, Satin Brass, 1-3/8" dia and the cup pulls are Menlo Park, Cup Pull, Signature Satin Brass, 3-1/2" cc. I mixed two styles because I just had to have the glass knobs! You may or may not see these make another appearance in the bathroom, too!Now let's revisit that to-do list!
